Joe Moller, the author of this piece, is a well-known and popular writer in a wider circle of readers who live in the diaspora. He has published six collections of short stories about the life of Serbian immigrants in America (Stuntman, Lost in Brooklyn, Thieves, My Friends...).
This play tells the story of Joe Moller, a Serbian immigrant who, through a variety of physical activities experienced life's ups and downs in America and on that way he meets people of different nationalities, sometimes he has luck, but the life turns him back, and he gets into a series of tragicomic situations.
The play carries a strong message about life in a foreign country, a very topical issue, especially when it comes to the Serbian migration and the question whether to stay or to try their luck somewhere in a foreign country. Therefore it affects the audience in the homeland, but also revisits and leaves a strong impression on viewers in the diaspora through retrospection of events from his own life, accompanied by nostalgia.

Statement of actors about the tour in USA :
Vladimir Djordjevic: Lost in Brooklyn is a play which at the very beginning of its theatrical life, deserves a lot of attention of the audience and is always well received on stage. Then we came up with the idea and sent a letter to the United States to certain associations, organizations and the Serbian Orthodox Church in order to establish cooperation and they invited us to perform in front of our migration there. This was because, as you know, the theme of the play is closely related to the life of people from the Balkans in the American migration. And we got guaranteed 5 performances in New York and the Serbian Orthodox Church St. Sava, New Jersey-the Serbian parish in Paterson, Philadelphia-from "The Tesla Science Foundation" and Chicago. We are negotiating with the associations of Washington, Boston, San Diego, Phoenix and Canada's Toronto. On the occasion of the eventually good news, I can say that our personal initiative, Željko Erkić's and mine, for the work of the play, won the big prize.
Zeljko Erkic : We are excited and happy after the invitation to perform the play in the USA. Now we are facing a great job in organizing schedules, making good preparation to introduce ourselves and our theater there in a brighter light. All performances are important to us, and I would point out that we are invited to Philadelphia to "Vidovdan Event 2104," organized by "The Tesla Science Foundation," which hosts the all-day program, and in which the subject is the first arrival of Serbs to the American ground.
